The Riverside Inn Restaurant
Here at The Riverside Inn we aim to create dishes combining traditional British flavours with a modern influence, served in relaxed old world surroundings.
We are lucky to be located in the heart of a thriving farming area. We consistently promote local produce from the North Herefordshire, Welsh Border and South Shropshire farms and specialist producers.
“Seed to plate” really happens here. At any time we can point out on your plate the ingredients from our own gardens and orchards just 60 steps from the kitchen door.
The chefs also regularly forage in the meadows, hedgerows and riverbank for wild garlic, elderflower, nettles and more, cleverly using what is naturally available.
Sustainability and ethical sourcing is important to us for our mussels and sea fish. We also score well regarding food miles for British produce and Fair Trade sources for imports.
Everything is cooked freshly on site, from our honey, oat and yoghurt soda bread to our lemon verbena ice cream.
Larger groups and parties are very welcome. From 8 to 42 we’ll create individual menus to your requirements.
For diners with dogs, we have designate “dog tables” in the bar – let us know you need one when you book.

In support of the local produce in the region, our Head Chef Andrew Link can be seen giving demonstrations at food festivals and shows.

We are open from Monday evening to Sunday lunch.
Closed Sunday evening and Monday lunchtime.
